what exactly does the amount of MB on a graphics card do? would there really be a big difference between a 128 MB or a 256 MB? thanks
well as a random guess i think the graphix would be better on a higher version seing as its more expensive and its a graphic card <_< lol
The video memory is used to store textures and such. More memory means more place to store textures so faster access speed
And you have too look at the cards features, just because it ha a lot of Mb doesn't mean it will be like " OMG 256mb WOW IT WILL OWN", I'll use one of my misfortunes(when i didn't know much bout vid cards) I went ot BEstBuy saw a 256mb card and THOUGHT WOAH, it was a FX5200, yes those suck don't get them. Little did I think it sucked till I actually bought a newer game. Now I have a ati9800pro 128mb card which I <3 of course.
yah it's as easy as that.. unless your a hard time gamer just get 128. the cheapest model you can find.. about $89... and your set fro all games
an ati 9200 is a good card for about everything but the latest games. 'usally' the more expensive the card is, the better it is
