I have encountered some Problems while playing Counterstrike Source. Onc ei start playing and paly for like 10-15 Minutes it just Crashes, it make smy whole Computer just shut off. I dont know where to look for a FIX for this and dont know what is causing it. So i am asking her eif anyone had or has this problem and knows how to fix it.. Thanks for any advice.. Munz
yah or your video card could be horrible causing your computer to shut down... or make sure there are nopapers in the back of your comp.. because they could be blocking the fan, and making it over heat
ATI gfx card + via chipset? well if so, then you'll have to get a new gfx card, because ATI cant make their cards work properly with via chipsets, and i know this sounds a bit extreme, but i spent some 2 months trying every fix imaginable to get it working, and still nothing. in the end i traded in my radeon 9800 pro for a Nvidia 6600GT, ive had no problems since. DAMN ATI
OK i have a Nividia grphic card forgot the number. 5800 or something Also it was working fine, then one day it just shut down now everytime i play it shuts down. Also i just bought a GiG of RAM Could that be causing it? And yes this is the original version not a ripped one
Technically ATI cards run CSS better than nvidia due to the fact that the games engine is more suitable to the technologies with ati cards but pfft, as for your crashes try defragging ya hdd and see if that works. From what u have said that might be the case, espeacially if u have recently installed any new games/programs. For example I bought DoW and installed it but could only play for 10-15 mins b4 pc froze, at 1st i thought it was my old 9600 pro but it wasnt i looked around and found out that when the game installs it actually frags ----loads of other programs (like alot them do). 1 good defrag later and problem has vanished. So defrag ya pc if u havent already lol
Another soulution dont play source presonally source is so random on the hitboxes its not even worth playing
Actually im in agreement with what ya saying about the hitboxs but u have to remember that 1.6 or any other previous version didnt have its own gravity laws like source does. In other words its a little more realistic than just popping ya crosshair on someones head now, learn to control the spray again and hs's roll in trust me i know
I have to say I agree with both Dodger and Funcky Chicken. I feel that if a game is so realistice it takes the fun out, that its not worth playing. On the other hand, a game that has no realistic feeling too it is also pointless in playing. Just my opinion.
