Are you thinking of real time (or turn-based)strats? Thats sounds more like what youre asking. I would go for Civ3, Sim City, CandC series. A awesome rpg that blows my mind that you cant build citys is Morrowind and its expansions. Like 150+ hours I put into that game and I was only half done. Yeah its that big.

Phantasy Star Online is really cool. You get different weapons and you can hack weapons and items. And the servers let you.

I was in mvc the other day, had a fiver left after my £150 shoppin spree lol....so went past mvc and saw this cheap game, 5er dot on :D

lol anyway its called caesar 3 i think

You have to build a roman town/village that includes granaries for food, and all that stuff, you can build a wall around your village to protect it from other roman armies and you can build up your own army to protect your city, i would recommend this game!

World Of Warcraft...Morrowind....Never Winter Nights....RuneScape...America's Army.

Absolutly tons of MMORPG's out on the net. And even more text based ones.
