Hey everyone, my first post so be kind.

I'm using Adobe Photoshop CS 8.0

When attempting to render clouds or anything using simple black/white graphic's, instead of getting a grey image I'm getting one with a brownish tint to it. I know it's not my monitor because when viewing files others have show using grey textures they show fine to me. Anyways, I'm at a loss as to what I should try. I'm new using Adobe and I'm trying to teach myself the ways of sig creation. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

Ok here's the screen shot. I opened the screenshot in Jasc PSP and it looks fine, but for some reason in Adobe CS it looks brownish. Probably not a big deal to most, but I'd be hard pressed to match colors in CS (my prefered program) if I cant even tell if they are right.

anyway here's the screen shot, will probably look fine on the web.

I would really hate to resort to uninstalling photoshop and reinstalling. Especially if it's just a graphic's setting thats causing it. Would anyone know what color management setting or any other setting should or could be messed with to correct this issue?

first of all, make sure your settings are like this:

also, go to Edit > Color Settings and check if you have something like this:

both of the options above can vary but just try out what i have and see if it works

yeah that wasnt a cloud render, that was actually a fractal render I had opened when I made the post. Going to try those settings to see if it helps. Thanks for the information.

Update: ok here's a picture of an actual render/clouds. looking at it on the web it looks fine, even if I have a screenshot and look at it besides in Adobe. Why would it only appear that way inside the program? anyway here's the picture.
