Open Canvas is a great program for all those people with dialup and who can't afford (;)) photoshop.r

"openCanvas3 is the great painting and illustration software for not only experienced artists but also novices.r
openCanvas3 users can reproduce a range of effects on their image from its extensive tools of Pen and Brush, Layer, Filter, Selection and more."r
    r
"openCanvas3 has much advanced filter ability. There are many kinds of Filter, such as lighting, cloud pattern, wave, and emboss as well as basic filer like adjustment of color, level compensation, shading off, sharp, and rotation/expansion/reversal. By using these filters, an infinite effect can be added to your drawing picture. r

    [Kinds of Filter] r
    r
    Tone of Color (Level / Gamma / Brightness Contrast / Color Balance / Monochrome) / Blur (Blur / Blur More / Motion Blur / Zoom Radial Blur / Gaussian Blur) / Sharpen (Sharpen / Sharpen More / Sharpen (Specify Number)) / Twirl / Wave / Lighting / Emboss / Floor / Tiles / Clouds / Rocks / Noise / Mosaic / Posterize / Invert / Rotate / Flip Horizontal / Flip Vertical / Rotate 90(Clockwise) / Rotate 180 / Rotate 90 (Counter-clockwise) / Rotate / Zoom"r

"Saving and reading of PSD/PNG/JPG/BMP formats r

    r
In addition to exclusive formats, openCanvas 3 corresponds to saving and reading of the picture of BMP, JPEG, PNG and PSD formats. Since PSD format (Photoshop form) can use the picture, having maintained the layers, illustration work, which cooperates with other applications, could also be done easily.r
    r
    * PSD format is corresponded only on openCanvas3 Plus."r

And best of all its only 3.66mb! so for all of you who are using paint (shame on you) you should give this a try. It has the polygonal lasso and magic wand and mask so it can do almost everything you need to make renders and sigs, hope you try it out and like it. r
