I didn't rip it. I used it. I didn't claim the background was mine. And the image you're talking about is my CAL-O logo.
I was only taking about the grunge background, not some logo
Yea, my CAL-O logo. I made it back in december. But to make you happy I removed it from my sigs.
Jeb dosnt rip he borrows, nuff said.
If you use something that someone else made EXACTLY, thats ripping. Putting a fluffy word on it such as borrowing or not taking credit doesn't change it. You fucking ripped. You should put in big bold letters in your sig, "Background made by ___".
I guess in that case if you use a render you didnt make you should put in big bold letters across your sig who made it. At least that what your saying mm.
I've had this discussion a million times. There is a difference between using a cutout and using a background. In my books, significant change to the original image is enough to make it "yours". Such as cutting out 90% of the image and messing around with that. If you took a background, without cutting out the main part of it, stuck it in your sig and put your name across it; I would ban you from any forum for ripping. If you cut out the main part, put effects on it, brushed it, leveled it, colorized etc. and used it in a sig I would have no problems. If you're using part of another idea and putting it in your own terms, thats good. Thats how things happen in the world; sharing and building on others ideas. If you're just using another idea, nothing changed; you're stealing and ripping. But simply taking a wallpaper from the internet and putting it behind some text and a cutout is ripping. Plain and simple.
