I have a question about rendering say i render out an image, but the backround is white is there a way i change that part to transparent it looks alot better when everything but the image u want is transparent
Erase all the white parts via eraser tool or layer mask. Then save it as a gif or png file. PNG-24 is best due to higher quality.
yah but if i erase it its a white backround or is there a way to change settings on eraser so its erases and gives u transparent if so how
You can try the background eraser tool. It's a subset of the eraser tool. When you hold the eraser icon on the toolbox, it should appear. Another option is to open a document with a transparent background. Copy your image via move tool and stack it on the background. Then use a layer mask and black paint on your image to cut off all unwanted parts. This is my recommendation since it doesn't destroy any pixels; it just hides them.
Indeed. I always use the pen tool. EDIT - I should also add something about layer masking in case anyone's new to it. While black paint on the mask hides the pixels, white paint makes the pixels reappear again. For rendering images, you'll find no use for the eraser after learning to use layer masks.
whats rendering. i dont understand, when i put pics in a sig, i just find what i like, cut it out and put it in the sig, .........is that rendering????
Rendering is taking out the backround from a image using either the pen tool, or polygonal lasso tool, or anything else that works.
Yes. Rendering is just cutting out all undesireable parts of an image (namely the background). The end result should be a perfect/good enough cutout of your character, object, etc.
