Well damn Shaggy, you're mass email certainly is spiking interest again Has been een terribly long time since my last visit and as former staff, I'm sure as hell equally to blame for the downfall I suppose. Like some have mentioned before, the target group are the 12 tot 15-year-olds or college students (God knows how much time I spent on forums during college ). And it's also true that times change, especially in these fast times filled with social media. Not saying I'll be very active again (baby on the way ) but I do sometimes still wonder about this site and the people that I've met on here. Used to be really something, so I'm rooting for you that it might all come back to that one day.
Maybe some quick ideas, took of sites i often visit: - Music ( you can make awesome playlists in spotify or rdio and put them on the site like they do on designers.mx) - Inspiration - I look alot on the internet for sites with just awesome pics & vids to get some inspiration or just to browse. - Tips ( like http://theultralinx.com/ ) - All social stuff like facebook would be a must to fuse into GR. - Dribbble - ( just awesome stuff, if we can attract some croud from dribbble would be cool )

Hi i never really visited often but one thing me and a lot of others are crying out for is new renders and resource packs. Another thing is since Megaupload went down a lot of great resources have been lost, i will gladly make up packs of the older stuff i have and if others do the same we can get cracking on obtaining new resources, not many sites left sadly so people should be grasping the chane to keep this site up.
I know this account says im new but i have been coming to GR since i was way younger lmao i don't have any out there ideas but make it more social media style ( even though i am anti FB ) and open some of it to newer content like movie music even make a place for after effect tutorials or something... cause i know i still do a lot of work in after effects and a lot of video editing but ya... i know not great ideas and everything but i miss GR
The resource forum really needs to be revamped people might of lost their resources through out the years maybe a resource crew is needed, and the newest media uploading is Mediafire and another one I can't remember (due to old age) Now I remember Sendspace..
haven't been here in a while but i agree with on of the post earlier, more renders, tutorials, tips like for new comers getting into Photoshop many things there are still in the unexplored sections that are not basic use. don't make it games only i like the part that i seen movies signature, cars, ordinary stuff that sets thing apart from other sites than just seeing a COD signature or Halo signature most of the time
@Shaggy Not an oldie like the rest but you should change forum software, vB 3.x is already stone age software. Try adding a decent gallery or just remove the WP install as it looks bad. Might even rebrand the whole thing while you're at it. Times have changed but a nice active GFX forums that's also offers more stuff like games, shows, etc.. can work. I have some more ideas, LMK if you're interested in a PM! Also consider e-mailing often cause that apparently brings on a lot of folks, including me.
