Well, just like the music industry, everything changes. You just have to adapt to the new style of things and find out what the new TOP 40 of graphics is ;)

I've only just signed back up and feel the same.

I would say it's the intense complexity of signatures - being in the graphic design industry myself, I can definitely see the focus and understanding of basic design in many signatures on this forum.

Sig making has evolved over the years to a point where it actually becomes design and many people, like myself, decided that I wanted to do this for life! Went off to university and completely forgot about making 390x150 pixel based stuff haha.

    Sounds bizarre but true.

Im glad i'm back though. I enjoy the enthusiasm that comes with a forum community, theres always someone willing to help you!

I think sigforums need to devise new ways of attracting the new kind of audiences seen today.

I would place blame on console gaming. It creates a huge void when compared to PC gaming. Console gamers tend to not create websites and forums for their squads/clans and therefore do not need to take the time to dive in to the graphics world.

Graphic was a popular niche back then, now is not so much but rather more of a Gaming niche now a days.

Maybe you guys should switch the niche of being GFX to a gaming forum or something else.

There's always ups and downs... So hopefully soon there will be another up. People may adapt to change or they may not. Just have to accept and utilize the changes that are made. I miss sig making and that is why I'm back from the grave and I want to polish up my PS skills (if I even had skills)!

i personally fully second this motion! i been trying to get back into gfx design and i have had very little in the way of help improving which is a little depressing when it is ment to be a gfx community that is there to help improve peoples skills and give valuable comments and criticisms.
