looking for any flaws or help anyone can give, trying to improve on making tags right now. this is the probably to me the best one i've made so far. almost forgot, thanks again to Sol Invictus for the render. http://www.gamerenders.com/forum/showthread.php?t=90602
ditch the light balls/sprites also, the lighting on the side of the render doesn't fit, see where it's yellow on his back and arm? The lighting there doesn't make sense with the lighting in the scene, other than that...not bad bro. Keep up the work!
The light source seems to be a lost cause, perhaps when you get a solid section for a source of light, then the sig would have much more depth. And I do agree with the light balls, you should remove them entirely. If I could suggest, seeing as you placed a lens flare at the tip of the barrel, try making a reverse look for lighting, use that as the focal point for a light source and either start bright there and get darker or, start dark there and go lighter - just expand it to the 4 corners of the sig and play with the burn and dodge tools a bit to get a decent depth. Other then that, the background of the sig looks decent, it just appears to all be lost in the mixed source of lighting. - Arc.
