I honestly like them both equally. The depth of color and contrast on V2 is nice, but I'm personally a fan of the washed-out look, so V1 also does it for me. For V2 I would change the border, though. The white just seems too out-of-place for that sig. Also, while the "dungeon" is legible, the "siege" is a bit hard to read. But I like the style of typography. Also on V2 if you look close enough, the background seems a bit low quality. On the right side, especially in the mid-range brown areas, it gets a tad grainy. The wash-out cleared this up a bit in V1 I'd guess. Overall I like them. Good job.
