I started making GFX in Photoshop about 7 years ago, and here is some of my favorite work. I know I should be much more advanced by now, but I've kind of fallen out of the love for it over the past 3-4 years. I'm still trying to get back into it, though. I don't think I've even made a new graphic for about 2-3 years now. Logo (Meshed the letters together and made all of the text/background effects myself) Signature Signature Signature Signature Let me know what you guys think!
Thanks for the reply. What can I do to improve? I can tell that my GFX aren't all that advanced, but what can I do to make them more advanced?
Your stuff looks a LOT like my stuff from way back when I first started graphics. The main issue you have is that you're brushing randomly on a background and letting that serve as the main source of interest for your tags. However, because you're just brushing everywhere, there's no focus or flow and the tag ends up looking disorganized. You also need to go easy on the text. Too much text in a signature just makes it look cluttered, in my opinion. If you NEED to put that much text in a tag, build the tag around the text to make it look more cohesive. Also, keep your tags to one person/stock/render/focus for right now.
my advise: fonts like blade, impact and such are lot like comic sans reputation, in other words its not original anymore. i suggest simple fonts. also easy on the blending options of ur text. simple stroke or a shadow will do the trick aswell and looks better. i started the same way, my next step was blending the pictures better into the background and even brushing over the pictures had very nice outcome . keep it up
I would use less text... Also, check out tutorials, even if you dont like the outcome, you might learn something new and you can find a different way to use it!
It seems like I get stuck on every single tutorial I try to follow. The past 5 tutorials I've tried doing something from, I've done something that the tutorial said to do, but the result didn't match up at all, although I was using the exact same picture and everything. Guess I just have bad luck!
