Not sure if you made it look the way it does, but adding in high quality render(s) may increase it. (Unless you went for that look) And on your next attempt, try to get more of a focal point and less bland colors.

Try putting another layer on top, with a med-dark red fill. And try messing around with the settings. (Overlay, screen, opacity, ect.)
