I'm not really sure if this is the right place to post, but I will give it a go. :)

So I got this picture, and I added a black eye in Photoshop, look's great but the skin is way too light near the black eye, so the black eye looks pretty fake..

So I tried to come up with a solution for this, and to add some black dirt to the rest of the face seems to be the best idea. Since I will look pretty beat up with blood from my mouth and such, it will go great with bad boy look.

Anybody got some advice on how to add some realistic dirt to the face?

This is not the picture that i'm using (I just tried the black eye technique on this picture), but the black eye looks like this:

I think the black eye looks pretty realistic, I opened the picture first before I read your post and laughed. The laughing stopped as I read it was photoshopped. Says enough doesn't it? Adding some dirt.. I don't know, might try brushes?

    Thanks for the comments :).

I will try to use the "more swelling tool" for the final picture ;). I'm gonna upload it when it's done.

    Okay..
So the picture is taken, but... I really suck at rendering.
Anybody able to help me out?

I've put it on a black background, so you can see where it needs rendering. (My shirt is black too, but it stands out).

black eye is way over the top. also, i suggest going into liquify and bloating around the eye to show some swelling, if you want to get more realistic i suggest going as far as going over with some brushes and painting in the swelling as well.
