well to be honest i find both quite boring :X first 1 is good but lacks flow the second one: the smudging on the right arm of the render doesn't blend very well with the bg imo. and im no fan of centered render sigs. just my noobish opinion tho
to be honest both need a lot of work. Your smudging isnt really that impressive the first one couldn't of taken you more then 2minutes to do. and I'm not a huge fan of the boarders, there to distracting. the text on the 2nd one is good.
You have some nice effects here but I think you could use more flow. Like with the first one try tilting your render 30˚ to the right to give the canvas more movement.
