I have not played either game or any of the previous versions. I would just like for some one to tell me which one is best for me. I don't play online but me and my brothers have three controllers so I am wondering if i can play multiplayer and if so which one has the best offline multiplayer. Also in the story mode can me and my brothers play together. Thank you please answer my question please

Halo reach has 4 player co-op.

Better and more original story than reliving the short stories that amount to the entire one in black ops.

Although you'll be offline, it'll still be fun. (I guess)

And what kind of gamer doesn't play online? That's just weird to me.

Doesn't Black ops air at 9/11/10? Or do the release dates in the US and europe differ? Anyways, I haven't got Halo Reach yet, but it must be awesome, especially the co-op with 4 persons; I think it has more features than Black Ops will have.

In my opinion, any game needs to stand up on single player campaign alone...multi player is an extra.

Halo REALLY falls short in usability in any offline gameplay. On release, I had a hard time believing this game was a finished product. Firefight at first was difficult to understand and had various glitches. Patch please?

The Single player campaign has similar issues... particularly one issue that is frustrating is when you change any game settings, you have to start the whole campaign over again. And the scoring system is beyond me. Sometimes I finish a level with 8000 points, and sometimes only 50. ???? Same with firefight.

As far as COD goes... Modern Warfare 2 has great single player. Easy to follow, interesting story, and intuitive controls. (also where Halo drives me up the wall)

One issue in both games is the lack of realism in combat situations. The games are both point and click simulations in a war themed skin. You have no peripheral vision, all you can hear is music with faint foot steps and distant noises with some gun fire... no real indicators as to where your enemy is.

The worst is randomly exploding or getting shot in the head without knowing where it came from. (which is fine in online play)

Over all... I'm excited about Black Ops, but you cant compare it until it's released. But Modern Warfare 2 kicks the crap out of Halo Reach

LOL. I don't think a casual gamer has the right to even make such a judgment. That statement is wrong on so many levels.

Lol. Call of Duty takes no skill at all. Halo is a lot more competitive and it's incredibly hard to exploit the multiplayer. That's why most kids who jump on the Reach bandwagon after playing MW2 are absolute garbage and complain about things like shields and headshots, which leads to them giving up and going back to play MW2.

I'm becoming more and more fed up with Reach... yes, online play is fine, but the single player campaign is really getting on my nerves... The game its self is moderately difficult, which is fine... it's a game... but getting to a point where you can play the game is impossible, then you better hope you're doing it right, or you don't get any creds and you'll never level up. Sometimes I'll get +50 after a level, sometimes +0 and sometimes +10,000 ... is this random? or am I missing something?

Halo reach is the best halo yet i gotta say, and mw2 takes no skill whatsoever, aim and pull a trigger, i mean i cant even play that game anymore cause it pisses me off how people just camp in a corner with the AA shotty, i mean seriously people play a game sitting down staring at a screen only to sit in game and stare at a wall till someone comes around a corner, its fucking sad. lol

halo reach, that rush you get when you take on 4 guys comin at you is nothing mw2 can compare to. especially not with the fools left playing it now.

Halo 2 > Reach. Also, you can't compare these two games as Black Ops isn't even out yet. Halo > CoD any day though. CoD is for camping and no skill. Halo is for everything else.
