Hey, i would suggest some blending work on render, and just some work on text could be done. Blending and position. That's how I feel, artists have own opinion's and styles. Based on what I see in your signatures your typography in this sig can most def be better though.
The site whit on the bottom is just so noone can steal it. In the show Barney is kind of a wanna be "suit" so to speak so i wanted to go with a normal text look. How do i go about blending that in more?
The text that way steals away from the art in my opinion, typography is key to me if it's included. Most have respect not to steal others work, and blended nicely you'll still have no worries. Anyway, blending render honestly im not familiar with brushing and splatter brushes to create sig background so I couldn't give good advice in blending. Im more of just not so much a fan of the background in whole. Makes render pop out as if he were standing in front of a screen getting photo taken.

haha kinda. idk heres some really simple ways some tiny effect, kerning, and simple shit can really change how something looks. not saying these are good by any stretch of the word, but it proves my point about how the small things can change the look of text dramatically http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/4870/26381538.png better link, bigger http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/1025/20221138.png
.entropy is right with the text, that's one of the most important pieces. No doubt mastering text will take practice.
Are you using different texts in this? and is that wave above and below the text line custom? haha and i liked the text further away from render where it was, just because otherwise it leaves alot of empty room in signature.
