For a lot of brushpacks that I see, there's usually extra effects added to the individual sample image of the pack, and I'm trying to figure out what possible effects were used for a particular sample. I know it'll be different depending on which user's brushpacks they are, but can someone give me a general idea of what effects they think were used on this sample image below?

It's from a brushpack called, "Chaotic Abstract" by Metal-CX on DeviantArt.

    Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like they've just used multiple shades of red/orange when brushing, then did an Apply Image (CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+E), then did a Gaussian Blur (Filters>>Blur>>Gaussian Blur>>2-4px), and then set that layer to Screen or Lighten in the layer Blending Modes.
