Poor image quality here. Colors are washed out, no contrast. Type looks nice though.

I really like this. Nice cut-out...a little over filtered. Good treatment though. Layout is well balanced, and I like the background a lot. Just wish there was more separation between the FG and BG... it's all kind of all mashed together.

    Layout's nice. Great coloring.

    I like them both.

I'd experiment more with the typography. Drop shadow is a big no-no.

I'd recommend Arial or Verdana for this... in a contrasting color with no shadow.

Use Contrast-A (adobe AIR app) to find a good contrast

    Hey there Clash
I just have to say, this is an awesome thread you got here
I've been browsing around here a lot but I just have to register so that I may ask for your professional opinion of some of my banners
Here is a sprite banner of mine, hope you'll take a look at it :D

What makes this a sprite render? A sprite refers to the backend program manipulating a graphic... this is pixel art over a brushed background making it mixed media... which is nice if done right.

You're pretty close here... Looks like you took the images from some GIFs but didn't remove the matte.

The composition is well executed, and the coloring is great.

Type isn't terrible, I think it needs to be more to the point though. UI type isn't much of a sig.

    Hey there Clash!
Thanks for the fast reply :)
Sorry I didn't know what a sprite was until I looked up what you told me XD
I'm back with another banner and I hope you will take a look at it for me

I smudged and brush around a bit, that's all
What sort of text should I use with these kind of banners?

    Thank you again Clash! :D

Really like this a lot. GREAT coloring here. Love the layout. As for type, I'd really experiment with abstract (not random) typography with some depth to it.
