Smudgeing

I just got back into photoshop from a break and i totally forgot what the main smudge brush was and I cannot seem to find it anyone help me with this? i know you can use basically use any brush but I remember having like a main general one a lot of people used to smudge.

 

I just use a 9-21px hard brush.

 

I don't have a hard brush pack =/

Hard brush is when the brush is literally a hard circle.

Opposite of a fuzzy brush which is more of a glow when used.

 

Yeh, it's just a regular round brush with the "Hardness" turned to 100%. A lot of newbs use chalk brush or spatter brushes, but the effects they create is nowhere near as nice.
