The C4D's color is and doesnt go well with everything else. Some gradient maps and adjusment layers would help a lot
    *Edit*
I also noticed that the light source is off

Well I have a lot to say here. :) Much better than your abstract I'll have to add.

Let's just skip into it this time!!

    A Little More Indepth

    Good.
Your focal is definitely clear, and you placed quite a nice effect on the right side.

There is a great possiblity for a lovely use of color.

    Bad.
Don't take this harshly it's not horrible, just there's a lot of little things you messed up.

To start, the top left of this signature is pure black with some blue in it.

A good way to fix this is....

    Option 1.

Edit: Make sure you read the whole thing before attempting it if you choose to.

This takes some what of an experts job on lighting, but it's always good to start somewhere.

Okay take a 3px brush black, make the edging around the top left COMPLETELY black.

Change the size of the brush tip to 5-10px accordingly with black coloring still on 20% opacity. Slowly get rid of the blue C4D in the back. Do not make it completely disappear but make it so that it's very dim and hardly noticable.

Do the same with the foot.

Make the top of the foot that touching the boarder black but just the TIP of it then fade it out and make it very smooth don't jolt your darkness around or you'll have a horrid effect and it'll look beyond stupid.

While doing that you'll notice if you do it all evenly your highlights might stick out more. That's fine but make sure there not dulled out. You still need them to add a form to your render.

Always keep your eraser handy at 5%-10% on a 8px-15px brush tip size.

This is always a project it's actually where I spend most of my time.

Like I said this is kind of a hard thing to do. It's by no means a quick fix it takes some time to get the correct look right without damaging the artwork. Usually I'll do a darker color of the image. For you I'd use a really dark red or really dark blue then set the layer to multiply. It usually ends in a better look. I usually tell people to use black because it's an easier concept. Also I would first add a little more to that part of the background, just something that isn't already pure black and then do this over it.

basically if you get something like this....

    you did it incorrectly.

Sooo goodluck with that hopefully you can make it work :) it's quite the nice outcome. If you look at my "New" and "Newest" tags you'll see it's work in effect.
Also In a few hours from this post "I'm actually in the middle of re-making an old tag" I'll post up a perfect example of this lighting and darkening.

The topic will be called "The Skull" if you want to take a peak at it for yourself.

Also remember to get rid of the highlights on the left shoulder of spiderman if you do learn to do this effect correctly.

    Option 2.
Place some C4D in the black spot add a 0.6 guassian blur ONLY in that area including the foot.

    Your coloring.
Your coloring does not compliment eachother in this signature. Use an orange flare, or pink offset.

To fix this problem just go to your layers tab and go to new adjustment layers. Use gradient maps, photo filters, and color balance layers, make sure you erase these off of spiderman and your effect.

    Blurring.
You need to learn how to blur fade. Don't make your blur's all the same level. Some areas need to be more blurred while others need to fade out to a lower blur.

Start off by doing a applied image on a new layer.

The best blur to use is gaussian IMO, start at 0.1

Then erase the focal point, and some areas that don't need blurring.

    New layer
    applied image
Then do another G Blur at 0.1 on the layer.

Repeat until level of blur is set and focal will be more focused on and you'll have a great sense of depth.

    :) Hope I helped again :)

Indeed a great help again concept. But you went through such great lengths to help me fix the emptiness of the c4d in the back left when...dun dun dun its actually part of the picture >.<

But yes I will definitely try blur fading. Also I never really thought of erasing parts of gmaps, otherwise this sig would have become totally monotone. Im gonna go back and try a v2 with your suggestions. thanks again.

Worse the colors are over kill. lol try not to make them all one color add a variety to them. you should add around atleast 10 layers just to change the color properly.
