After p*ssyfooting around ... here goes nothing.

Okay, I haven't been doing this for a long time; I only became interested 3 months ago, and only *really* started making decent ones like a month ago. I still have so much to learn.

Here are three out of my bunch. I'd like some C&C's on them please: what's good about them, what's not, what to improve on, etc.

Be easy on this newbie's soul, will ya? XD

let me post before emo comments will show up ...
i think the 2nd [and why not the 3rd] have some potential ... 1 thing i noticed in ur that needs to be fixed : u use too much linear/color dodge for c4d's [i'm not a pro , i hope i m right :D]
on 1st and 2nd u used too much text , on 3rd text is good
keep on practicing u will get better
    gl;)

    Thanks for the feedback, guys.

@cristiano: Yeap I did use C4Ds, and some of them are in linear/color dodge. :D I'll try experimenting with them more. Now about the text ... that's a tough one. I usually never get it right; it's a pain!

    Thanks again!

Well IMO you should work on your light source, and i would suggest to place your text close to your focal point, atm most of your pieces having your text acting as a second focal and it is distracting for the eyes.Keep it up.

1st one is lacking a defined focal point. At first i saw Hulk and only then saw Spidey. Render with two characters is almost always a bad decision. Plus what cristiano said about the text.
2nd one is way too sharpened (as is 3rd), but this is time you got the lighting and the focal right.
3rd, once again, you failed the focal point. And you used the wrong pattern here, you should consider using one that gives flow to the tag, not one that ruins it. Plus, the background seems just a plain gradient with C4D stamped on it.

I must say tag n.2 > tag n.1 > tag n.3, but even so, work on your n.2, it ain't perfect yet.

Thanks for the tips and crits, guys. Appreciated all of them. I'll try to keep 'em in mind next time I do another tag. :-)

I know you... -.- I really like the 3rd one, but the motion blur (looks like to me) is... too much for me.
