to be honest, i dont like it, abit to sharp and too much negative space to the left and theres just something about it i dont like
nothing much is going on with the left side. and your render isnt blended enough. the right shoulder dark shade is just so wrong... since light is practically hitting it. dunno if that was intentional. the only thing i liked are your effects though they are lacking
yea the whole shoulder thing was unintentional i accidentally erased part of it and got too lazy to fix it
negative space is good it makes the eye travel around the entire image which gives it longer viewing time..but...there needs to be some texture to keep the intrest , and the subject looks as if he is just pasted on theres no 3rd level of depth, you want to at least achieve 3 levels of depth, background, suject and foreground as you progress you build up effects on each level thus improving depth perception, your on the right track of compositioning just need to work on depth using the 3 levels and effects as your building it up youll see more then 3 levels devolop, keep at it can only get better
