So I'm fucking pissed at the kids who come over to play my 360. They've broken my headphones and now (they've) led me to look for ways to prevent them from playing games on my 360 in the future. They don't come to me themselves, instead they are their parents to tell me. I am now looking forward to telling them that my 360 isn't working anymore so they'd go away. But anyway, this thread is for suggestions to which headphones I should buy now, I'm confused between wired and wireless headphones. My budget is no more than $110/£75. I mainly use my headphones for watching films and listening to music (sometimes). These are my second headphones broken, the first one was also broken the same way, the wire was stretched and thus broke from the volume controller. It must've been pulled really hard because I had been using them roughly myself but it never broke. Don't know what might have happened, but anyway I also want to tell you all that I've heard that Wireless headphones aren't as good as Wired ones, which I believe is true actually but what can I get closest to my budget which wouldn't let me down. I sit maximum 5 metres away from my PC.

Please advice on which headphones I should get.

    Thanks!

personally .. wirelesss suck . ive had a test drive on em. maybe coz they were crap or sumat but theres alot of set backs... especially NOISE! and a audio freak like me wants superior quality

i opted for Sony's XB500 and they rock :O if you dont like bass they aint for you coz these can pack a punch and vibrate your head ! 1st sony heads died on me after having them for years. So i paid a little extra for these :D can hear the most faintest of sounds crystal clear too :D thats my opinion .. i paid £40 for these baby and not regretted the price one bit =]

wireless - interference from things ... same as wireless routers. noise is a big problem.
wired - restricted length but quality always there .. go for gold! (maybe you can buy connectors to get it longer never actually tried that)

    hope it helps bhai.

    wired.
Altho you can move your headphones anywhere. I would rather just sit in one place and listen to my music.

Been using my Sony MDR-7506's for quite some time. Spent about 375 USD on them when they came out, but you can get em pretty cheap now. (100?)

Perfect! Excellent suggestions bhai and that did help, I'm going to get my hands on them now. Would you know if Amazon.com (US) would be cheaper or Argos? If I don't find that particular model you've mentioned there in the UAE, I will probably order it online.

<3 Thanks for all the wonderul help bhai!

Thanks Renegade, I'll also have a look at them. PS I am currently using the 3M cable extenders (gold) and they are pretty tight.

I should also add the cable on my headphone is this long: (I put the remote control for a marker so you can see the actual distance, the remote is about 10 inches long.) This is standard length for Sony headphones.

Thanks for the replies. I will prob get the Cateye double wireless. So much easier w/o that part. I like the wired version I have, so this should be ok.

The Garmin is too much right now. Then Id want to add a powertap. Which opens a whole ball of expenses that I dont need.

    Thanks

Thanks for the great replies, one other thing that I wanted to ask is whether any headphones have strong wires since I've continuously had painful experiences with my headphones which break in one ear and then in the second. Like it mostly happens that the right side of my headphones stop working. It is extremely annoying and I know that it happens due to a breakage in the wires. I'd greatly appreciate if someone could post some information about what I should be looking for in headphone that might prevent them from breaking the wires inside.
