right side seems a little empty. could have maybe faded another "war scene" picture in to fill the void? i like the some color, some b&w tho its different, keeps things fresh
do you mean the right or left? cus there is already a war scene in the right...but thanks for the cnc
I would agree, the right side needs just a little more. But I also agree what the part b&w, part colour really adds epicness.
Work on your colors. If you are going for a gradient for all of your colors (which I highly dislike as it makes your pieces look flat and unappealing), then you should steer away from pukey colors. Try using vibrant colors that really pop in an image. i know you are trying for a more serious, melancholy look, but you can still use vibrant colors to achieve this. Cool tones, like blue, contrasted with dark, rich, warm tones, say a dark orange (which is very close to brown but with more saturation) will help make your sig pop out and still maintain your mood you're shooting for. Here is an example of what I am talking about... Note that I did not change anything except your colors and tones as a whole. As you can see the colors still convey the mood, yet the have cool and warm tones. How does this work? A cool tone for your brighter colors keeps the mood sad and a warm tone for your shadows emphasizes that. Try playing around with different combinations of colors. You'll most likely find that opposite colors look great together. Use this to your advantage.
