So my school has a firewall that prohibits going on certain websites. I was wondering if there is any sort of program that I could use to get past it. I used to be able to create a short-cut to the c:/, open the cmd and network connection wizard, in order to reconfigure the firewall, but they blocked making new shortcuts somehow.

    Any ideas?

Website is blocked. That's why I'm looking for a program or something that I can just throw on a flash drive.

I don't know how your firewall is configured and what not but we just always used to use firefox portable (or what ever its called) on a thumbdrive back in the day

Hey, all you need is a program called ultrasurf, it will bypass your school network and let you have free access to the internet and hides your ip address.

Watch porn at home. Much safer that way...

Haha. I had the same problem at my school, except it was a mac network, much more difficult to tamper with.

Good luck, you're wasting your time though, their job is to ensure you don't get outside of their filter, they have nothing better to do...

    EDIT:
Although, if it is that important to you, what you could do is set up a server at home, use No-ip for the DNS forward, and run through your own proxy, worked for me for quite a while, just don't tell anyone about it, and put it in a password protected directory, that way they won't be able to check it out and there won't be a bunch of hits on it from different people. Worth a try if you have the know-how.

One that works for me Yauba.com type in address bar as you see it.
search what you want, click 'view anonymously'.
if you trying to view too long a link an error comes up. if that happens search for something...i dunno..gamerenders.com, click the 'view anonymously' (with gr you have to click the forum link after) then at thge top in the window is the yauba toolbar with a box saying 'you are currently viewing: #searchbox with the address#' in the searchbox paste the link there and press enter. Done.

    hope it works for you.

Edit: does not allow you to log into..say forums, actually doesn't allow you to login at all into anything

I'd just be careful trying to get by firewalls. I had a buddy that tried to get by the wall in the school library and he was banned from using school computers for the rest of the year.

Imagine how much more homework he got!
