Recently my desktop computer has started Reseting itself every 2 -2.5 hours.
About 70% of the time it will blue screen, but sometimes it just resets as if I had hit the reset button (on my computer, which instantly cuts it off and starts it over, it doesn't go through the windows reset shutting off thing.)
It's pretty reliable about the timing, and I could leave it on all day and still will always get at least 2 hours, so I don't think it's over heating...
Just wondering if anyone knows what it might be, the computer is probably about 2 years old, I built it:

GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard
    Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz LGA 775 65W Dual-Core
    EVGA 512-P3-N802-A1 GeForce 8800GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3
    Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
ENERMAX Liberty ELT500AWT 500W Modular Active Power Supply

and I was thinking about upgrading my mobo and processor anyways, so if you are fairly certain that replacing those parts would stop the bsod, that would help me make the decision...

if you can see the error code the blue screen is giving, you could google it.

    otherwise, maybe a virus?

It depends what you did to the computer beforehand. Did you install a new hardware?

and as Ravr said, did the bsod appear with an error code?

Run ComboFix (highly recommended) if you believe you have a virus. Do not download ComboFix from anywhere other than BleepingComputer.com
