http://www.lionhead.com/fable3/ "Will be available exclusively on Xbox 360 in the 2010 holiday season." EPIC.
I hope they release a gameplay trailer soon. I love the Fable games to date, hopefully with the opportunity to run a kingdom we actually get choices in what the kingdom does and with its guards.
Ehhh, sandbox type games need a ridiculously long story line. The whole point of having optional quests/games/areas to explore is to make your character stronger/develop a character or expose the lore/backstory to the areas you're in. When you have no higher goal to achieve, it becomes somewhat pointless. It was like with GTA or Elder Scrolls, once you finished the long story line, there was little drive to do all the extra stuff left. That's what it was like for me with Fable II. I finished the story line way too early, and then couldn't be bothered doing anything else. Fable I was better, cos it was longer. And harder.
Never played the first part of the soon to be trilogy, but I thought that Fable II was bigger than Fable I as well. Oh well, I enjoyed the game so can't wait to get my hands on part 3.
I haven't played Fable yet, the first part isnt on the 360 and the first part would probaly suck ass (graphics and the controls on a 360 controller would probaly be annoying). And me, not willing to play part 1, wouldn't understand much of part 2. Or am I wrong?
Yeah, pretty much the only ties between the two games is a few nostalgic bits of geography and a few veiled references to the characters of the original game. Also, the graphics in the first game are still well good enough to not be an annoyance to people who care about such things, and the control system is just as good on the 360 as it was on the original Xbox. You should give it a go, Fable I is an awesome game.
Hm thats better, Halo 1 and 2 are good to play on a 360 controller, so I guess the same for Fable I. And since Fable II is reduced in price lately, so it's a possibility. But, fable is only a 1player game, I read that Fable's story isn't quite long, so wouldn't it be better to lend it from a friend instead of buying it and give it him back in a few days? Or is it really expanded and a must have, with a lot more options than the short story, and fun to keep playing after you finished it?
