too right. there are some exceptions, though. tarantino is one director who considers his roots (exploitation cinema, grindhouse, gore) to be who he is as a director. thats what i respect, not bullsh!t like avatar. oh wow, he used hardcore technology to turn his far too average plot and characters into a multi-billion dollar piece of property. most of these action blockbusters and vampire love films are just cashing in.
Watched Daybreakers last night, the concept was great but the film was sort of incomplete *spoiler*[color=#000000;background:#000000]like I am Legend, there should be a different ending where they show that the vampires start becoming normal again using their cure.[/color]*spoiler*
Avatar was good in my opinion Law abiding citizen was great! keep me at the edge of my seat the whole time.
I think I might give it a go once we reach a good number of films for 2009/2010, seeing as a lot of people (myself included) would be interested to know what films they should go to when they're planning for a cinema night.
i only go to cinema when there's a film i know thats worth seeing, in the past 8 years thats been Valkyrie & Inglorious ------s. in my whole life i've been like 5-6 to the cinema though i am in progress building my own home cinema the basics are done i just need accesoires
