New To Gfx, Any Tips On Gettin Started?

    Hey iv been on this site for a while, but have only just decided to start making GFX any tips you could give me would be appreciated, and i need to know what is a good program to start on and where i can download or purchase it from, thankyou

    Adobe Photoshop.

    Buy it at any electronics store, (ie. Best Buy).

    Depends on what kind of graphics you want to do of course :)

    For the general things that you find on here, like signatures and lps, people indeed use photoshop. If you're lookinf for a cheaper solution, you can always try out GIMP, which is open source :)

    For making vectors, you're beest off using Adobe Illustrator. In case you want to do C4ds, I think it's best to use the program called Cinema4D.
    In short, there are numerous programs that can be used really :)

    Get photoshop (there are a lot of ways, both legit and the other method of which I won't go into details), or Gimp (which is free free free), and do tutorials. this site has a massive backlog of tutorials, so sit down, drink some coffee and start doing them. if you find one you like, do it a few times. it all helps. then once you have a good understanding of the program you use, and are confident in what you need in a good signature/lp/c4d, you can start experimenting on your own.

    i just got GIMP , can somone please tell me how do i cut parts of an image out and paste it onto a different background or layer
