Yay! Thanks, Rena. Yeah, that's why this is probably among the poorest-done ones of this year. If Off Topic goes back up again ever I'll know better for next time. This is the first year we've done this.
It should be "The 2010 Gamerenderies: The best of 2009" That's how every other awards ceremony in the history of the world goes.
Ugh, it keeps tying. I need to create some sort of tie-breaker. Events have their date in that year because they're held in that year. eg. The Olympics. 2010 Winter Olympics. It's held in 2010. The competition occurs in 2010. This all ocurred in 2009. We're just voting in 2010 because 2009 had to finish up first in case anyone wanted to add anything (although it was closed so that was impossible). I have never seen an awards ceremony have two years in it. The Grammys, Emmys, Acamdy Awards, etc. are just numbered. How about I do the same here?
The Emmys, Grammys, Oscars, Nobel Prize, etc are all based in the yearly period between ceremonies, not based on what year the content took place in.
