Ok, so I made some stuff for a guy's forum and now he is bribing me to make him more stuff saying that he will do a charge back on paypal if I don't .

Any ideas on what I should do?

He started the claim and then he stopped it, then I closed my account.

    Should I call paypal?

I'm like 90% sure he can only file a claim once.

I'll try to find out if that's correct.
    Thanks for the information.

Guy should be banned from paypal entirely. I'd report him. He's also violating what is considered a contractual agreement. Depending on how tight and clear the agreement is, you may or may not be able to sue. Either way, the serious threat of a lawsuit is normally enough to wake people up from their own little world.

Was it a cheap job? People looking for cheap work are sometimes looking to rip off the person they hire as well. Not only that, they don't really understand all the laws. If he takes back that money, you can tell him to remove whatever you made and he has to obey legally. If he doesn't, report him to his web host for a copyright violation, although I don't know how quickly they respond to things like that. If you think it'll become a huge issue with money lost and the work was published in the last three months, register for copyright at the copyright office. If you register within 3 months of publishing, it will retroactively cover you. From what you say, it doesn't sound like this is entirely necessary, but it's still good to know.

Armed with proper knowledge, you'd realize that this guy has sabotaged himself. He can't do anything except lose the ability to use what you made for him, which you might be able to license to someone else.

Gotta love business classes targeted toward creatives.
