i like this sig alot, i took on board cnc of the previous tag i made. im not very good at text, so it was wise just to leave it out, finding a suitable font for this tag was pretty hard hope you all like it
I really like your comment Leaving the text out was deffinately a wise choice. I actually like this signature alot, if I had to rate it on a scale of 10... I'd give you a 7.5/10 Reason: (-1.0) Lighting Source - It's a good lighting source, but it starts to conflict with the signature right about his head a little towards the left. It's a easy fix problem, but it does take away from the quality of the signature. Incase you don't see what I'm saying I'm talking about the white light mixing with the darkness. It starts to fade to a grayish off color that doesn't seem right for lighting. Now on like a picture taken off of a disposable camera this look might occur but, I'm pretty sure you want an edited high quality look. Also when adding light how you did, this happens quite often and is usually very easy to over look. lol, basically what im saying is the lighting gets very dull, and doesn't give the depth, brightness and contrast it should give as a light source. (-0.5) Effect - On the right side of the signature, by his arm the effect is kinda choppy and sharp. It's pretty unnoticable unless you really look at it, but it could be fixed to make it look better. ( it's really not that big a deal just something that I noticed ) (-0.5) Background - It's background does fit quite nice, I'm not suggesting you should change it just stating why I gave it a 7.5. It is a pretty simple background, though it does fit the abstract style and the C4D you used it's still sort of plain in other area's. (-0.5) C4D - A large part of the signature is just C4D. ( It does fit quite nicely though ) Other than that your signature has good depth and a nice color layout, Great C4D placement and is a really awesome signature. Fix the lighting source and the little bit of choppiness on the right hand, and i'll say you got a solid 9/10 signature.
thanks alot man, i appreciate it coming from somebody who actually knows what they are on about i will get stuck into fixing the problems that you stated tomorrow, i can actually see them now somebody has pointed them out thanks anyway dude!
See I really like the placement and the thought that has gone into this sig but the only problem that I can see is on the right side it does look very plain and dull, I don't know if this was planned to keep the focus on the renders or if it was just a little look over but none the less the signature is still a thing of beauty. Well done mate Dan.
thanks man, the right hand side is something i am trying to fix due to feedback, it is quiet hard because it ends up taking the focus away from the main focal point. but i will keep trying of course, thanks.
i think adding a little colour and making it a little sharper could work or you could add a vector line curving like a ribbon and that could also hold the text... just a little idea... Dan.
The render has no depth to the point where after looking at it for a while, the render mix itself amoung all the things that are on the same level Example: Look at his right arm, now to the left arm, they look like they are evenly far from you, or worse, the right is nearer.. You should dark/light some areas to fix this Another thing, on the left, it looks like you didnt know what to do and just smudged the C4D to cover negative space. I would say add another C4D there(bottom left to be more specific) and make it blend with everything, or even add a clipping mask over there. And for the right area, some pen tool coming from his chest would look cool and would also help the flow, which, as you stated, is being hard to keep
cool for your thoughts and i do agree with some aspects, although the first thing you stated is down to the photography of the stock the picture is a live wrestling photo, in which lighting isnt the best, so it didnt help much plus i see what your saying about the left hand side and the c4d, and ill try to fix it, however there was no smudging invovled in this tag
This isn't completely true, as a artist and/or editor ( as the majority of sig makers are ) you should beable to create your own lighting even on the render. This is a technique that can either require a brush tool or the burn tool. Using a brush is more time consuming but definitely better quality, while the burn tool is a sloppy and lower quality IMO.
