I see some of the brilliant work around this site and it makes me kinda hesitant to post my own, but I will anyway. It's been a while since I have played around with graphics, but I'm getting back into it. Here is what I have done in the recent few days, I'm just looking for some C&C. Thanks in advance.
I like the first one and love the last one. I like simple sigs, some people get out of hand with the effects when it could look better with less. Not sure if im diggin' the text tho. As for the Jessica Alba one, I don't like it at all
Thanks for the input dude. I don't really like the Alba sig either. As for the text, its always been a weakness of mine.
Don't worry about posting your tags, everyone here is pretty friendly the point is to post and we'll help you if it has somethings to point out Sides your a pretty good artist you have some potential I see. 1.) The First Signature: - You really need to pay attention to how you place your lighting source. It's a good position, but you over brightened it. Always try to keep a good balance between your Brightness and Contrast - The background on the right disturbs the flow of the signature. It's a very bad idea to do what you did with such a plain looking background. You have a very bright left side, then a dark right side. This will also throw your signature off balance without a transition, as you have it, there is no transition its bright then your render then darkness, which doesn't seem to fit in anyways because of your light source and the brightness you have emitting from it. - Now I always say to use text in practice. Take a look at your text that you have now, it's very dull and un-noticable, but when you do notice it there doesn't seem to be a point in it's position or coloring. If this occurs you want to either take the text out completely or find a better spot for it. Another thing about text is, it's a make or break thing. It can either compliment a Signature, or completely ruin it. So if you having trouble with text, just leave it out but don't forget to try to add text, if its possible and makes the signature look better then of course add it, but if you don't like it just leave it out. If you add text because your worried about someone taking your art, it doesn't matter, if someone wants it badly enough they'll rip it without a problem. 2.) The Second Signatures (Jessica Alba): - This is a down grade of your ability compare to your other tags, it looks like you used some brush stroke filters and left it at that. So heres a tip on that: - You don't want people to know what you did just by the way it looks, so you want to combine your effects together to create a gaint effect that way noone can just go well you just used "blah blah". It's not even that but when I see something like that it seems like you didn't put your heart into the signature you just half ass'd it because you couldn't think of anything at the moment. If that does happen to you, then don't be afraid to add more to the your work, there is a genius thing called save 3.) The Third Signature ( Very Bottom ): This one shows the best of your abilities I like this signature alot. - The one problem I've been noticing in all of your tags is a problem I used to have myself, you use effects that are harsh and sharp on a signature that has alot of soft and smooth qualities. Try to use effects that will compliment the flow of the materials you already have within the artwork before your effects are added. - The one thing that is bothering the hell out of me on this signature though is that orange thing you have in the top right!! It totally messes up the feel of this tag IMO. Also I would suggest redoing the effect in the bottom right, because as I said the harsh and sharp effect that it is doesn't actually help the signature in this situation. - Again as well is your text in this. Mainly with your text the problem you need to conquer is the placement you like to chose. Text should stand out almost as much as your focal point or center around your focal point as to draw in a wondering eye to the focal point to begin with. I know you were expecting some C&C and I hope I helped you, I don't think your a bad artist, I'm just commenting to help if you have any questions about my post let me know and I'll explain them better Keep posting your work I'd like to see more
Thanks man. Dude...You rock. Thanks for that. You really spent time to analyze them and you gave me some really helpful advice.
