1. Learn how to use acronyms correctly please. 2. Activity dwindles eventually on every site. GameRenders is no exception. 3. Sig Shops were stupid anyways. la la
Steal people's credits? No, that'd be dementia that abused that item. I merely created credits by 'minus fining' myself. I wish I could say the idea was all mine, but mainly, BiG Dave and HydrogeN were to thank. Dave had a fetish for certain American candy that couldn't be found in England, so he'd paid out sums of 30k credits to HydrogeN and whichever other staff member was willing to send him stuff in exchange for credits. Of course, you weren't on the staff at that time - so you wouldn't know about that. We won't mention the 30,000 credits Girly 'randomly received' to spend on tutorials in the Marketplace, or other incidents. After all, i'm the bad guy in this tale. Nothing is what it seems though. Andrew
Believe me, I knew more than you think about the goings-on before I became moderator. And I was talking about the 10k credits you wanted to "borrow" from me. Not that I really give a ---- anymore.
So bitter, Renagade. Since the value of credits is nil, I offer to squash my debt by paying you $10 USD via paypal if you can beat me in a board game online. I'll let you choose the game, hit me up on MSN IM. We can also do yahoo pool =p Andrew
I never, ever have used that item, the primary abusers of the item were marforce and kirbir - the admins decided before creating the item to never use it, as we are immune to it. I have restocked it, so people could use it, but that is about it. Gurly was agreed to, we gave her credits so she could buy tutorials and resources from members to give out for free (which she did). We have done the same with myself, kirbir, and a few other mods who wanted to get some quality resources for free. We have even extended that reach to other websites where admins over there are wiling to give us credits on their forum in exchange for a few things, so that we could give free resources over here due to people on this forum *NEVER* giving anything worth while out. Creating credits for yourself to bet in pool, trivia, poker, or to give to your personal friends to buy things for your personal site which was a competitor at the time (and coming back) as a staff member here is not reputable. Giving credits to a staff member to buy resources that belong to Gamerenders, using Gamerenders credits *is*. Then again, you and I both know you weren't removed from staff only because of the credit ordeal. Don't point the finger when you don't have a clue, it makes you seem like even more of an ass than people already know you are.
I don't claim to talk about incidents that occurred after I left staff, only while on it. Girly may have been given credits at a later date by you, but it started with GRDelivery when I gave her 30,000 credits without any one in the staff knowing. I agree, fingers shouldn't be pointed when the individuals in question do not have a clue - for example your apparent reasoning that I somehow was granted ACP access and modifying accounts. I'll gladly admit to giving credits out via the minus fine, but I've never had ACP access or the ability to alter people's member groups. The point in this entire matter is that GameRenders revolved around an amazing Marketplace. When Dave entered the GameRenders economy, that started a GR Staff trend of altering credits that inevitably led to the horrible rate of credits now. I'm sure your 84,000 credits are legit, though. You are just perfect in each way: including your ability to copy template designs from dA artist. Remember the few templates I bought off you? Have a good day, Andrew
Except my template was shown to have been last modified prior to his submission to DA, and posted publicly elsewhere prior to Kwaku getting it. The other ones weren't even remotely close to anything elsewhere, just the one Kwaku portfolio thing, which he stopped pursuing once I proved I had made mine prior to him making his. Designs are inspired by the times, and it just so happened he and I had very close similarities due to how designs were done at that point in time. My 84,000 credits are legit, actually, a result of accumulating 2,000 credits a month basically since I became a staff member, as well as a few sales here and there. Maybe 12,000 credits I think were given to me to upgrade member accounts and I simply didn't remove them from the system when I received them. Not that it matters, because the last time I sent credits to anyone was in 2007 to Cast420 for 5,000 credits. Yup, I certainly do use my credits to buy resources for competition sites and then lie about it and abuse my privileges here on staff as a means to get ahead on a semi-professional basis.
seriously you should ask an admission fee for these kind of topics, that would have killed the inflation problem years ago
Dem took the blame for that item, but it was mostly Kirbir and myself who went overboard with it. I'm still okay with having dem blamed tho.
I wonder if Andrew remembers me, I got my first ever warning on this site from him.. Haha, good ol' days!
