What do you guys feel about the Standard American Diet?

Over the last 30 years or so
1.The Dietary intake of pastry has risen 70 percent.
    2. the consumption of snack food has increased over 85 percent.
    3. soda and soft drink intake has gone up over 200 percent.
    4. The daily intake of veggies has decreased by 23 percent.
    5. the use of fruit has declined by 25 percent.

FACT: most of the physical problems plaguing our country today can be directly attributed to the diet we eat.
there are 4,000 heart attacks a day in this country ect.
so would you say its SAD?

hahah yyeaah that sugar and white flower will real you in.

most pastries are made from eggs and if you have average of two eggs a day you have a 32 percent increase in risk of heart attack, and about the dairy..
for a instance cow milk has no valid claim as the perfect food.
as nutrition, it produces allergies in infants, diarrhea and cramps in the older child and adult, and may be a factor in the development of heart attack and strokes. perhaps when the public is educated as to the hazard of milk, only only calves will be left to drink the real thing.

I guess we must not feel sad cause but our body is killing us.

    cheers

I will die fat and happy in my 40s, you can live long and suffer a painful death in your 90s. That's essentially how I look at it.

I will die, having done what I wanted to do, eat what I want to eat, fucking who I want to ****... and you, on the other hand, will likely have little / no sex life post-60, will likely develop symptoms and conditions of old age (high cholesterol, offset diabetes, alzheimers, dementia, etc.) and most likely either won't remember your life, or will be so disconnected from your life that you die alone, and emotionally painfully.

I'll take option a, thank you very much.

    my proposal to your situation

I'm sure if you die in your 40s because of health reasons your going to live a miserable life being on constant pills that will destroy your body in general, while devoting a portion of your life finding a cure from this pain and relying on pathetic doctors who will ease the pain other then fixing it.
Me on the other hand will hopefully be, well till some age that I live with few exceptions of health and will dramatically keep a young body cause of what I consume, oh and my sex life will be increased cause no one dreams of being with a unbalanced weight with many physical issues, well unless your dating one. :D

I'm sure my loved ones would like to know I died a good life other then being on constant health issues till i die..

Actually incorrect - medical science has shown an individual can generally indulge until his mid 30s and early 40s (after all, alcohol and cigs are comparable to the damage you deal to your body with food) with next to no need for any supplements, dieting, exercise, etc. It's only once you begin to push late 40s and early 50s that you begin to develop health issues (also, keep in mind that health issues related to obesity and indulgence of substances tend to be easier to correct than diseases and conditions caused by old age - which generally have no cure, simply the ability to post pone the inevitable through endless brain exercises, exercising, etc.).

As far as the dating idea - You must be new to the dating market. Most women after the age of about 24 are far less about sex appeal and far more about what you have to offer them (it's at this point they start to get the picture, that hot bod is nice for the hour or two you're in bed, or to talk about with friends - they start worrying about their future and what they can do to improve it or sustain it). On the other hand, I don't intend to settle down because frankly fresh and random pussy is more exciting than the same ol' shit day in and day out, and its significantly easier to get and then let go, and it comes with little/no drama involved, unlike a real relationship.

What's the point of living if I don't get to live it my way?

I don't care if I die young as a result of how I enjoy myself.

I think medical science is not looking at the whole picture, from my understand from your statement I'm coming to a conclusion that your speaking of serious severe issues, well they are all severe but heart attacks, strokes, and the list goes on. I personally would consider getting the flu is serious, but i'm sure you wouldn't because its come so natural. With the natural, raw organic foods which we are intended to eat we wouldn't have these issues even the little things like flues or headaches ect. My friend cedric takes about 7 supplements a day and he is 19 most of them relating to acne or allergic reactions, yes you can develope allergic reactions but they also feed off your bad diets, and for acne ect its mostly about what you consume, with a little bit of growing up, well maybe.

about the old people issue thats easily wrong, I know a couple in there early 80s and doesn't have one issue at all because there amazing health its actually truelly amazing.

I think the information you read should come from a flaming nutritionist not a uneducated health person of some sort.

and sock you can live the way you want to live hahaha i was curious to see what people think, I do on my own do things that aren't healthy and i'm fine with it while i know the causes.

If you consider the flu to be serious (and don't have AIDS) I would NOT want to live your life. I'm going to die one day anyway so I'm not going to be all tight assed about what I do with my life. I ride a motorcycle, I bungee jump, sky dive. You could say I'm an adrenaline junkie. I do what I want, when I want. That goes for food too. I'd rather die at 40 because I was going a buck fifty on my bike and fail at life and crash, than be 85 with failing body parts, a ---- for nothing memory, and in diapers.

    Just my $0.02

It is pretty bad in my opinion. I do agree with both sides here, drinking and smoking and just living an all out fun life to die at 30-40 would be great but would essentially cut your life in half. On the other hand living till 80 with the possibility of losing my mind and memories would be both great (living another 40 years) and scary and crappy (getting a mental disorder). I think living till 60-70 would be great, though there is still a chance of mental disorders at those ages. Regardless, eating healthy makes you feel awesome and might actually be a better solution.
