What? I manipulated the textures into a planet.

Sorry if that wasn't what you meant. :(

    It's done a -lot- David.

It's a good job of it though, clouds need some shadow as at the moment they appear to be part of the land/sea masses, and the atmosphere needs sparking up a little bit. There's also the atmosphere over the shadowed bits which look a bit odd, just a bit messy and needs tidying up.

Other than that it's well done.

The clouds do have shadows; adding more would result in an unrealistic outcome, same with the atomosphrere. Since the planet shadow does not transition directly to black, the atmosphere would be apparent but much more faint on the lightly shadowed area.

    Thanks for the input. :)

Eh, comes down to preference I suppose. I usually sacrifice realism for aesthetic appeal; the atmosphere, particularly at the bottom is removing depth and making that area seem flat, especially since the atmosphere is brighter than the shadow, although it could also be the lack of inner glow in that area.

    Tis good overall anywho.

I would love to see a tutorial on how you archived this. I've seen tutorials of planets before, but nothing to this detail.
