So... essentially I am at work bored before my shift starts and want to rant. I work for a company that does the whole 'scam' thing (look up Acai Berry Breeze or any other Acai Berry products on Google). They general gist of it is that people sign up for a 14 day trial, didn't read the terms and the terms state if they don't cancel within their 14 days they are then charged $83.95 for the full cost of the bottle and then automatically subscribed to our shipping and billing center for $88.90 every month from then on until they cancel. Technically not illegal, but a scam or extremely misleading indeed. My job here? I'm that guy on the phone you call and bitch at, about how much of a retard you are for not reading the terms and how little I can do for you.

So essentially I wake up at 4:00am, start out until 4:45am, get to work at 5:45am, and get yelled at for 8 hours, then drive home during the hottest time of the day in AZ (just after noon) without AC, usually taking about 1:20 hours to get home (traffic and all).

Honestly I would rather taste different kinds of animal poop to see which tastes better and get paid minimum wage for it when I think about my job. When I wake up in the morning I try to come up with a legitimate excuse to not show up to work, and then I eventually turn that into giving me reason to go to work... which there really is none outside money but.. bleh.

Yeah, random Dem thought at 5:45am.

Definitely going to quit in the next 2 weeks... pretty much as soon as I get a call back from really anywhere with my resume.

I've done a couple of those scam type jobs myself. I used to call people and tell them they've won a trip to vegas blah blah blah and get them to had over their credit card information over the telephone, essentially signing them up for a timeshare while telling them it's not a timeshare and actually just a vacation that we pay for and give them spending money for (manager would call back and give them the spiel, mentioning it is, in fact, a timeshare.) ---- sucked, I quit three weeks later even though I made bank.

I've been dealing with the AZ heat for 15 years without AC, it.. doesn't get better, sorry.

Where all have you put in applications/submitted your resume?

    You'd be surprised.

I have a college degree and a history of great jobs with great references and it took me 3 months and roughly... 150 sent resumes to get this job.

    AZ unemployment ftl.

Yeah I don't have a college degree and it's easier for me to get a job, but by job I mean Blockbuster, Wal-Mart, etc.

Although I do have some ins at GoDaddy for when I finally get my degree heh.

Yeah I know of quite a few people who quit working for GoDaddy, they didn't enjoy workign there or something. I didn't care to talk to them much more about it.

That's.. odd. I know a bunch of guys that work there, mostly in positions where they do a lot of hiring, they all love it.

    Wrong.

I grew up there till 10 (and basically all around South California really).

You know where you live is hot as hell when the weather people are calling 110 degrees 'cool' 'crisp' and 'refreshing'.

California just has humidity with it, and even then that isn't bad at all, try heading to Minnesota or Florida if you think that's bad.

Not really, in the couple summers It's been hitting 115-123~'s, I guess it can feel worse because its slightly humid. I haven't been to Arizona, so i cant really set down an actual opinon ha. All i know is it gets annoying when i hear people bitching it's 90, when i would love 90 degree weather.

What parts of California have you lived in?
