It's pretty much the equivalent to ArmA II, but it hasn't come out yet. It also looks to be much less buggy.

I hope this doesn't flop like Arma2 did. I think game developers are trying to find the right mix between First Person Shooter and War Simulator. Hopefully this game will actually be fun and not require and entire day to learn, and from what I've seen it looks like it.

No way dude, MW2 is more mainstream and has a bigger fan base. I'd be pretty shocked if this game sold close to as much as MW2 will.

Yeah, Modern Warfare 2 is way more fast-paced anyway. This game is about tactics and warfare, with the tastes of a traditional FPS. This game won't sell as much, but I will probably buy this before Modern Warfare 2 since it has the traditional PC price. I'll for sure play the demo first, to see how my computer runs it and see how the mechanics feel.

Even though it won't do as well as MW2, it will most likely have a much longer replay factor. Modern Warfare 2 will probably have a couple months worth of constant play. This game has a mission editor and mod tools that will come out so the possibilities will be endless. People will be able to import from 3Ds Max into the game so people are already starting up a mod database. There is an Aussie mod and a WWII mod planned. This game will definitely have more to offer than MW2, but won't be quite fast paced as the usual FPS. It will be faster than ArmA II, no doubt.

You can check out a bunch of other info on the official forums here on the official forums.

I am more excited for this game than Modern Warfare 2, honestly. :D

I've been playing OPF (1) for a few weeks now, but I'm getting this one on the PS3.
