It looks like a mix of a normal and a sprite signature, I am not really a fan of that style, dunno why.
The flow is really nice and the lighting could be improved a little little bit.
Good effects, just that grey flag or what it is is disturbing a little bit.

Thank you, I'll fix it up and post an edit. I wanna do more of a better explosion effect with debris flying out.

id like it more if the sparkles around the guy were red
    not blue
    because
    its confusing
and the parts of the (ship?) could use sharpening
    or a rust texture
    but
    besides that
    its pretty beast

I blurred the debris so it looks like they are flying out. But i'll work on the debris, thank you for the rust tip.
And the sparkles behind him are suppose to be stars. so i guess i could lower the opacity.

<div align="center"> Its a very nice concept though its very contrasted... VERY contrasted. the stars look like a clutter of sparks behind him.. and his face looks like an evil clown lol. I like the effects and concept put into this and i think the only thing wrong with it is lack of tools function. I know I know, noone likes people that just tell you to read a tutorial or two, but practice makes perfect i reccomend looking up some of greg martins tutorials on stars and planets he's amazing and one of space arts forefathers. Again very nice concept and effects, lack of tool function. Gj eitherway M8 :)

Greg Martin: http://gallery.artofgregmartin.com/ - go to the artist bio and writings then click walkthroughs and tutorials or w/e :)</div>
