I am using the HP Harman/Kardon speakers shown in this website : Here and one wire which is the 12AV wire and I am tryin to connect it to my laptop, where does the end of the av wire go to? ive tried looking for outputs but nothing s there
Look for a green audio port on your laptop, if you gave a model number it would be very helpful. It's the same as your headphone jack. I have an HP and so does my roomate, we both have audio jacks on the front, infront of the track pad. look for something like this http://www.macopinion.com/images/uploads/T71ports.jpg
Yeah my laptop has an audio/headphone jack But i can't find a power in jack like in that picture above and i think i do need that for one of the wires for the speakers
Ive been searching the web, but can't seem to find anything. If the picture on the HP website was clearer I could help you. Are you sure the speakers just don't plug into the wall?
No they don't, I'm sure of that. I know they have stands, but they weren't included when i got them. Do those speakers work with any computer or any HP computer perhaps? or do i have to find something to connect the 12v connector input rather than into the laptop?
that power in jack is for accu. you need a 12volt adaptar which you can plug into the wall. you should have gotten one with the speakers. and just plug the audio plug in to the headphone port.
Its different on every laptop where the power plugin is. Did you buy your speakers brand new or were they already used? But the 12volt input on your laptop has nothing to do with your speakers. The only plug that needs to go into your laptop is the audio plug.
The output that it describes on the speakers website is a 12v DC output. That looks like it would fit into my power input on my laptop.
the harman kardon speakers came with another computer i had and they worked fine and now recently bought a new laptop and want to hook up those speakers to my laptop I'll see if the 12av input does fit in the power supply port where you charge the laptop? do you ppl mean by that?
Yea thats what I mean, just throwing suggestions out there. Not sure if it will work...It just looks like it would fit to my laptop.
