    My first sig was a background with a green and white wave effect with my name across the entire sig.

    Believe me, this tops it by a lot.

    Nice first.

    Trust me its not bad, people have worse. Just keep testing stuff out and doing tutorials, best way to get better :D

    Nice one for first attemp. To be shy :-) Start at easy tuts and then you can learn way more.

    Like others have said, a very good first signature. The color scheme itself, though a bit off, fits the render and the white background well. If you already have a good sense of color synergy then with a few tutorials and lots of practice you should up your skill dramatically in no time.
