    I can't see the difference between V1 & V2.
The render is really blurry and I don't like how it's under the boarder like that.
The colors go together well, and motion blur is a cool effect, but without a real BG it's kind of pointless.
You should get some brushes and get used to using them.

I personally think you should make Vince stick out more, and put his head back into the sig. It doesn't look right cut in half. ;)
You should add some more 'flare' to the background, make it more lively, not just plain blue.
Lastly, you should put 'FOURFIVE' around the 'Vince Carter' text.

Not bad at all for your second signature, try this.

Make a new layer, image > Apply image. Then go to filter > sharpen > Sharpen .

    Now erase around vince.

    :)

Here's the sig with all the updates and I have to say it's looking like a masterpiece but can someone explain what apply image does exactly?

apply image transfers everything what you see on the new layer. so you could hide all the other layers and nothing would change, as the new layer with applied image would be still visible. it's great for making effect in the end of creation process. like you could make your sig shiny by applying image on the new layer and then setting that layer's blend mode to lighten. this was just an example, much more can be done with it. :)

Kind of added too much brightness/contrast, other than that it's pretty good.
