So I just bought this new LCD Monitor, Samsung SyncMaster 2333 23". And it is quite amazing and it looks weird now since I was using 17" for like 3 years now.

I am using 1920x1080 resolution, yet I have one problem, I still can't view films as clear as my tely. The Sharpness is just not good and the image isn't crisp, I thought these new LCDs with HD technology were supposed to be better than the old non-HD LCDs.

Is there someone I should change? My resolution or something?

Also, tell me how's the LCD, i.e give feedback please.

Movie resolutions are quite a bit smaller than computer screen resolutions. They will not expand to the full size of your screen without pixelation, live with it or try to find blu-ray quality movies to minimize how much they need to stretch and thus reduce pixelation.

TVs are designed to work well at large physical sizes with smaller resolutions, making the movies seem clear.

^This and you could also try tweaking settings with whatever player you are using or try a different player. Dell just had that monitor for sale for $149 on Thursday

Okay, I forgot to mention that I also bought a nVidia Geforce 275 GTX card with the LCD. I don't plan on installing it since I bought it for my brother but I will install and see if that helps to better my view, I'll buy another one next week.

For now I will just try to mess around with my Video software settings.

Thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it.

BTW I'm not exactly a fan of any other LCD Monitor manufacturers except Samsung since they are the best at it and I love them.

enable upscaling in your video card's driver profile.

same ---- "upscaling dvd" players do.
