    Oof?
    Bought it today...
    And...
    It's unbelivably bad.

Aside from X-Men, this is quite possibly the worst game I've ever bought.

It's insanely difficult for one; on the medium difficulty setting, two combo hits from a bog-standard Orc Warrior will kill your character flat out. It's repetitive, it's boring, it's frustrating, even the heroes you play as are cookie-cutter copies of the normal 'classes' you play. On top of that, both campaigns (Good and Evil) are completable in under 5 hours. (And that's not each)

    DO NOT BUY

    Not even worth the rent.

I didn't like the demo. It just seemed like the other LOTR games. Lord of the Rings is old now.

    Meh.
I really liked Lord Of The Rings : Two Towers for the PS2, time ago but, yeah, this is far worse. The demo level doesn't quite show off the annoyance of the actual campaign. It's got two good points to it, the sound/music is quality (though not the voice acting) and the actual environments you fight in are preety damn good, overshadowed by how bad the gameplay is.

Agreed. I would prefer the LOTR for PS2 rather than this. I was addicted to that game. The graphics in Conquest are good, along with the sound. As you said, the gameplay is very poor. When I played the demo, it felt like I was playing the PS2 LOTR. When I did the online, it was horrible.

Yeah, I borrowed it off a friend, and I was disappointed too. For one thing, the sheer number of enemies on certain levels is pathetic. This is LOTR, enemies should be significantly weaker, and should outnumber you 30 to 1.

Exactly. I think that EA have tried too hard to make you feel like 'part of an army' so they've made you die far quicker than you'd expect yet annoyingly not really ramped up the number of enemies.

Completed the game anyway so I get the achievement points, and if anyone else has it (360) and wants to do some boosting so we can get the multiplayer ones (really no interest in playing online) then hit me up.
