The PS3 is the better console, however the games and online support is much better on the Xbox. I've owned both, and I have to say that the things that annoyed me most about the Xbox weren't apparent with the PS3, and I loved the fact it played Blu-ray, but there weren't enough good games coming out to keep me interested.
So we're just going to completely ignore the original topic question aye? PS3 wasn't in his list of prospective buys, probaly due to the price. But good job starting a console debate that isn't appropiate.
If you have friends over all the time or frequently throw parties then a Wii is probably your best fit. It has many party titles such as Wii Sports, Rock Band, Wario Ware: Smooth Moves, Wii Play, Rayman Raving Rabids Tv Party, Mario Party 8, etc. The motions and movements usually bring more fun as well. If you rarely have more than a friend or two over, then the Xbox is a better system. If has a massive amount of selection, along with a few party titles like Halo 3 and Rock band. I am not a big fan of handhelds, but if you are constantly in transit, airplanes, busses, etc, then it might be a good choice. Plus they are fun to play while in bed at night, or just when you are super lazy.
He's pretty honest. I love Sony, all of my equipment is Sony with the exception of a couple of pieces of stereo equipment, but Sony tanked *hard* in this console battle. Next to all of the good games Sony has available on the PS3 are cross-platform games, and their exclusive titles are both few in number and generally less developed then exclusive titles of other gaming consoles, which has killed Sony this time around, the only people who aren't accepting this are either fanboys, mildy retarded, or the people who absolutely *LOVE* the exclusive titles. Frankly, the specs of a system matter for shit if the console itself has a shit game collection, it's that simple.
the ps3 has a weaker GPU than the 360. in that regard the PS3 is the most inferior of the platforms given it's pricing... ps3 vs. 360, the ps3 usually has inferior graphics quality and lower frame rates.
Nah but PS3 has the Cell which is what they use in space telescopes and stuff. its super good cos it has 12 cores and stuff.
All depends on what you want. I think sony delivers better single player experience, while Xbox 360 has the best online experience ever. my opinion is get both.
xbox has more and better games, better online (supported and features). ps3 is a better media system. i have both, and it is the only way to go to get the best of both worlds
I'd go for the 360. If you want better graphics and Blu-Ray, go for the PS3, but if you want cooler games, that are amazingly fun, and good support for anything, then I say go for the 360. That's what I went for!
