I made this topic not only bc I am bored but so some of you can learn about this hacking world. I figured we can talk about it as longg as it doesnt get out of hand.

I wanna start by explain some of the hacking done through internet. We we all know about it. Viruses, worms, hackers, etc. there all a pain in the ass. But just look at the internet today. Things keep getting worst. Hackers are stealing personal info. Their accessing personal info such as emails, websites, folders. This is insane. Who would think the internet would cause such a horrible disaster. I mean the first Windows computer was released around 98 i think. Its been about 10 years and hackers are already becoming a problem. What can we look forward to. Just think of it. Me seeing and knowing some hackers will spend up to 72 hours just studying the compnents to hacker and how to become a hacker. There lifes revole around the computer. They are getting programs and apps that are over $500. How can we stop them? Will they ever stop? Why? These are my thoughts about hackers throught the internet.

    Now to the Game Hackers
Well I figured I would talk about this since I myself have a modded xbox. Modding a xbox or any game system enables you to edit or do anything you practically want. It in a way turns your xbox into a computer. You can even put programs on your xbox. I think of modded xboxes as being the underground world to the xbox. You dont see it but I have. People are taking game files and editing them to make themselves be able to cheat and recreate the game. What I mean is making their guns have unlimited ammounts of aumo. Unlimited Health. So much it cant even be explained. I have even been to sites where people are creating their own Halo2 maps. It takes so much to actually learn the spectics of a game and people are doing it when they dont even have a profession in this type of work. Is it insane? Yes their ruining games but also discoving new things. Their making the what will be furture gaming. Lets leave it at this. I cant talk about everything when it comes to hacking bc its going on everywhere.

Yea hackers suck, but for the most part they only screw with you unless you mess with them. But the game hackers are just party poopers, but whats so bad about makeing a Halo2 map...nothing unless they include cheats i.e. unlimited health and ammo. This will never be stopped as it balnces things out on the internet...although it does suck most likely no one can prevent it. (No one being an average person with little knowledge of computers compaired to some who has studied them thier entire life.)

Another thing with a modded box, yeah I have one too, its pretty sweet editing Halo 2, ect ect. But now everyone is using it to pirate games, to just rent em and back them up on their harddrive or downloading them and putting them on a cd.

You might want to go into detail about the reals hackers and the petty proxy kiddies that call themselves hackers.

They are farly easy to deal with.. IF you know what you are doing, there are programs such as hack back and other things that will actualy ruin someone thats a hackers computer. These programs are good but expensive and hard to find, and teqnichaly illegal because its still hacking, but even then eventualy hackers will find flaws in that to get around it. The sad thing is that most of these hackers are people who fix our own computers and make computer games.

Or belong to the goverment. Its sad because you don't realy see the government striving to try and stop them even though they can get into our bankaccounts and steall our money our credit card numbers and such. Its because of that that i think they don't care what hackers do. That is until they start getting sued, then its "oh we are striving are asses off to stop them but we just can't do anything about it." Also there are things that other computer companies and programers can do to stop them, such as editing their programs with a hidden anti hack for anyone that hacks that has that program installed will have an automatic deletion of the main windows.exe program completly rendering it useless. But you never see them doing that because it costs to much money. But it is possible to do that and if a large companies such as microsoft actualy did that hackers would be more vulnerable than ever.

True they would eventualy get around it but it would take along time because they wouldn't know which programs have the anti hack program in them, and it can be made undeletable.

It is because of this that i blame the government and programers for our"hacker problem".

Yeah, that would be a good idea. Script kiddies really tick me off, they think there hackers and everything and they are like, 1m 1337, y0r n0t. h4h4h4h4h4h4! It gets really annoying...

Yeah saving them onto your harddrive is pirating games, getting them without paying for them....I dunno I just think its kind of unfair to the developers.

Over the years, the media has distorted the true meaning of the word "hacker" into meaning a person who has not been formally trained and who breaks into a computer system stealing information and causing havoc! So now when people hear that a system has been compromised they automatically think it is one of these bad, boozed up, satan loving hackers! This is such BS! A hacker is not your average computer user, he or she is very good at the computer, but they do not destroy or steal information, or release a harmful virus that infects millions of computers world wide, instead a hacker is a person who loves technology and the code and wants to make it better therefore they push the limit on security and when a hole is discovered, tells you how to patch it. How else are you going to know if your system is secure if it is not tested! It is almost like building a boat and until you put it in the water you will never know how sea worthy it is!

If Bill Gates listen and took pointers from real hackers, his crappy product wouldn't get exploited so much, but his pride won't let him do that and so the saga continues.

Of course you have these so called "script kiddies" who take a script in which they have no working knowledge of why it works, but as long as it gets them into a system they really don't care. They really don't care about security all they care about is boosting their small ego's, so they can go on IRC and brag about how they defaced a website or how they ddosed a server!

There somethings i agree and others i don't your deffinition of a hacker is far from correct, think about it hackers are people who want to get into stuff to, as i would say cheat at life or get information on something or someone, what you have described as a "hacker" is actualy more of a tester as some people would say testers don't want anything they simply want to push their limits and the limits of computer techknowledgy. There is no program that will ever be impenatrable because there is always some kind of loop whole around it. Here is what i mean, think about the constitution, and emancipation proclamation. If you read carefully you will find many loops wholes, and no matter how many times they will never have the right amendments because as time grows so does culture religion and our way of thining.

This is the same basic way electronics work hackers will find diffrent methods and such, there for nothing made for computers will ever be perfectly safe. Which is why the hackers are an unstopable mayhem, way may delay them but never in this life time will we completly stop them, so for generations they will always pleague us and torment us.

    Thus i conclude this post.

Well most of us think of them being hackers but if you really wanna get technical then there called "crackers" Not the redneck kind. The kind that dont care to give your computer a virus or steal your password
