I actually like the second one. The first one is out of focus on the render. Try sharpening that part and blurring the rest, also taking the burn tool to the edges and develop a better lightsource
I agree the render of the first one does seem a bit blurry...I like the text though. They both seem like they could use something more...plus maybe the composition of the renders might need tweaking.
