New wii game, the trailer isn't great but the gameplay looks decent... I love the visual style. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejKvr_JSaiE
It looks crap. Nintendo needs to wise up, and develop a -serious- next gen console when the next round starts. Granted the Wii had amazing sales, but it's dropping consistently (especially with Natal + Sony Motion). A Zelda game on the next-gen consoles would be absouletely amazing, and part of me still suspects that the main draw behind the wii is still the classic characters, Zelda (Link), Mario, Samus Aran etc. Games like the one posted have existed for years on lesser systems.
This game HAS been on lesser consoles for ages, NOT however with wii controls ^_^. I don't own any console yet but I'm getting a wii prolly this summer. Also Metroid the Other M is gonna be so badass it's not even funny. Personally if I add up all the wii games i've enjoyed playing and the amount I enjoyed play it's beats the 360 and PS3 combine. I have friends who own both and I've spent many hours playing them
I regret buying my Wii, but maybe with the few newer games coming out it'll be OK and I'll set it back up.
tbh. This game totally is not my style. But then as for my Wii, it only gets used occasionally for Wii sport/Zelda: Twilight Princess lol.
Nothing against the Wii or nintendo for that matter, but the console is no match for my Ps3. However, it is fun to play Wii sports or other "family" games at occasion, when you have a bunch of people over at your house. But a game like this doesn't really appeal to me
I accept your opinion as your own and express mine that I absolutely hated wii sports. It was horrible. My fave wii games (most of which happen to be my fave period are) Zelda Twilight Super Mario Galaxy Super Smash Bros Brawl Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles Okami Super Paper Mario No More Heroes And finally, Metroid Prime. As if that weren't enough, you have all those classics (backwards compatibility ftw!) plus now The other m, Muramasa, and SMGalaxy 2. What more could I want? When I do indeed need that "hardcore" experience, I plug in an xbox controller into my pc and go for a game of gears of war, or unplug the controller and play cod4. With the money I save from buying a wii instead of a 360, I could buy 2 or 3 xbox games for pc Wii pwns the PS3. (edit) forgot no more heroes 2 AND new super mario bros.
Good for you but the Wii does not pwn the Ps3 (and no I'm not a fanboy). I hate to see this go off topic, but I just have to spill my guts here The Wii has motion sensor, but that's like it. Nothing else to brag about there. The graphics are in no way equal to those of the Ps3, nor is the actual gameplay of a Wii game. And yeah, backwards compatability for the win, but I also got that on my Ps3. I agree, I'm one of the lucky ones who bought their consoles when they came out, but still, I have it so I don't care about those others It's just a fact that you can't play a "normal" game on a Wii because you're pretty much stuck with the motion-technology. Which is fun for when you're in group, but that's where it ends in my opinion. And about all those games, I have a few of those but they don't compete with the games on Ps3 (or even Ps2 for that matter). Just think of Gta, God of War, Uncharted ...
When it comes to gaming -- both xbox 360 and PS3 > Wii. The Wii is more for fun games such as Wii Sport and Wii fit because of the remote. Sure there are some OK games such as Zelda and Super Mario Galaxy, but they hardly fall under the true "gaming" category in my opinion. Unlike Xbox 360 and the PS3, The Wii doesn't support HD Ready (768), let alone Full HD (1080) which IS what the world is going towards to at the moment. Satoru Iwata (Nintendo CEO) recently said that it will take at least 8 years till Nintendo comes with a console that can play games at a HD resolution. When I bought my own Full HD LCD television, plugged in my Wii and played Zelda: Twilight Princess, it looked like I was playing a bloody Tetris version. Don't get me wrong, the Wii is creative and definitely something new, but just cannot keep up with the other consoles imo.
Haha. The first time I played Twilight Princess was on an older 20 inch screen. I just started playing it again on my aquos 42" and I had those same thoughts. I am not someone who cares too much about graphics, but the Wii is starting to lack in them big time. Twilight Princess was rumored and hyped to have 1:1 sword tracking, yet we didn't even see something close to that. I find that I am more interested in playing World of Goo and Bubble Bobble than my four wii games (Super Paper Mario, Super Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess and Wario Ware: Smooth Moves) and the only other game I bought for it was Okami which was very disappointing. I hardly ever touch my Wii anymore, I quit playing Twilight Princess again a quarter way through the forest temple. It would be amazing to see a Zelda game running on the Assassin's Creed engine. With 1:1 sword and shield tracking.
