    Microsoft opened up technet subscriptions earlier today for free. Long story short, I have infinite product keys for everything in microsoft's back catalogue from the last 20 years :)

    it took me like 3 months to work out that opera has a built in banner blocker :P

    right click on blank space > block content > click the ads you want to block

    Pretty sure you can use userscripts to block text ads too
